If you are looking to work on a one to basis with people and enjoy a career where you can help others then this might be the career change you are looking for.

You can work the hours you want, but its not a 9 – 5  job, as your client base will be varied and if you are self motivated and willing to be customer service orientated, then you will soon have a career where your efforts are rewarded by your own hard work

At Blue School of Motoring we can help you to become a fully qualified driving instructor, we only offer one top one training on a pay as you go basis, there is no contract so our courses are very flexible.

Have you had a full car driving licence for at least 3 years?

Are you already registered as a driving instructor in another European Union (EU) country?

Have you ever been disqualified from driving or have you got 6 or more penalty points on your driving licence? What type of car is your driving licence for?

  • The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) published the ‘National standard for driver and rider training’ in 2011. It sets out the skills, knowledge and understanding that you need to be an effective trainer.

  • The driving instructor practical test of driving ability consists of tests of eyesight, safety questions and driving technique. The test will last for about one hour. You must pass all parts of the test at the same time.   • What is the ADI theory test like? The theory test is made up of two parts; the multiple choice part and the hazard perception part. The multiple choice part is delivered using a touch screen computer and mouse and the hazard perception part records your responses through the use of a computer mouse button. You need to pass both parts to pass the theory test. If you pass one part and fail the other you will fail the whole test, and you will need to take both parts again.
